Samsung to Upgrade Memory Chip Production Facilities

According to a Reuters report, Samsung revealed on August 20 a plan to invest 748.5 billion Won (US$794.9 million; US1=941.6 Won) to upgrade production facilities and enhance memory chip production. The investment is expected to be made by year-end 2007. Details as to the types of memory chips involved have not been disclosed yet.
